Standing Rules
Beta Upsilon Chapter
1. A member is expected to attend all regularly scheduled business meetings.
2. In order to be considered in attentance, a member must attend the business
portion of the meeting.
3. A member who is unable to attend a meeting must notify the Telephone
Committee.
4. If a member indicates that she will attend a meeting, she will be held responsible
for the cost of the meal. If a member cancels a reservation so late that the
chapter is held responsible for the payment, the member must pay for the meal.
5. A member who attends a meeting without the Delta Kappa Gamma pin will be
assessed 25 cents, which will be collected by the treasurer.
6. The treasurer is empowered to draw up to $50.00 from the Credit Union fund in
an emergency; to withdraw a larger sum requires the approval of the Executive
Board.
7. Upon the death of a member, a sum not to exceed $15.00, shall be given as a
memorial to a fund designated by the President. The fund should reflect some
area of special interest to the member.
8. The finance Committee is urged to budget as much as possible for convention
expenses in order to encourage members to attend. The disbursement of these
funds will be left to the President's discretion.
